　このたびの「令和６年能登半島地震」により、北陸地方の広範囲に大きな被害が発生しており、被災地支援のためのボランティア活動参加への検討をされている方もいると思います。
　石川県内では、能登方面へ向かう道路は深刻な地震被害による渋滞が発生しており、こうした中で個別に被災地へと向かおうとすると、支援物資の到着の遅れや、緊急を要する患者の搬送に困難をきたすなど、救援や救助活動に大きな支障をきたす恐れがあります。
　本学の学生及び教職員が、ボランティア活動に参加をする際は、現地の受け入れ状況を確認し、活動参加について適切に判断を行ってください。

To all students,

The Noto Peninsula Earthquake has caused extensive damage in the Hokuriku region, and we understand that some of you are considering participating in volunteer activities to support the affected areas.
In Ishikawa Prefecture, roads heading toward Noto are congested due to serious earthquake damage. Trying to head to the affected areas individually in such a situation may cause delays in the arrival of relief supplies and difficulties in transporting patients in urgent need, which may greatly hinder rescue and relief efforts.
If students, faculty and staff members of the University participate in volunteer activities, please check the local acceptance situation and make an appropriate decision regarding participation.
