◆ Application Procedure of Supplementary Examination

 It is possible to take a supplementary examination when it is not possible to take an examination of the liberal arts education subject by sickness or other unavoidable circumstances.
 The student who is willing to take supplementary examination, must submit the prescribed supplementary examination application form and document that objectively proves the reason. Please submit them to the REV of Student Support Office of the belonging faculty(The first grade students of Faculty of Medicine, Dentistry, and Pharmaceutical science, please go to the liberal arts education headquarters support group (the first floor in the work building of The Faculty Of Integrated Art and Science) and for students of night main course of Faculty Of Law And Economics, please go to the Higashi-Senda Student Support Office (REV Of Student Support))in one week after the conducting of the examination of a subject concerned. . However, please refer to "Article 8 of the Hiroshima University Liberal Arts Education Course Completion Regulations" described in the student handbook for the supplementary examination

◆ Attention When Taking A Supplementary Examination

1.Please download supplementary examination application from the above-mentioned linked Websites or receive the form in REV of Student Support Office or the liberal arts education headquarters support group (the first floor in the work building of faculty of integrated art and science).

2.The document that proves the valid reason not being possible to take an examination is needed for the application for the supplementary examination. Please receive the issue such as the medical certificates from the hospital when it is not possible to take an examination due to cold etc.

3.Everything is reported concerning the supplementary examination after application according to the notice of "My Momiji" (individual notice), therefore please confirm "My Momiji"

【Hiroshima University Liberal Arts Education Course Completion Regulations Article 8】

(Supplementary Examination)
A person who was unable to take an examination due to one of the following items may take a supplementary examination.


[1] Absence due to the death of a spouse or a person within the third degree of kinship

[2] Injury or illness (restricted to instances of hospitalization or equivalent circumstance)

[3] Natural disaster or other extraordinary disaster

[4] Sudden accident of public transport

[5] Other unavoidable circumstances

(2) As a rule, the person who is intending to take a supplementary examination, have to submit supplementary examination application form to the president of the belonging faculty/graduate school, in a week after date of the examination.

(3) As a rule, a person who is granted a supplementary examination must take thesupplementary examination on a date and at a time designated by the teacher in charge ofsaid Class Subject.

(4) The implementation period for the supplementary examination shall be within 3 weeks after the implementation of the examination for said Class Subject.
