*Study Tour Abroad for Realization and Transformation

| Program Outline |
The purpose of this program is to provide opportunities for younger students with less previous experiences of traveling overseas to go abroad, visit our partner universities, and experience foreign cultures and environment.
We expect that such experience will open up their minds and inspire them to actively participate in study abroad and international exchange activities during the rest of their period of enrollment at Hiroshima University.
This program is financially supported by the Hiroshima University Fund. It surely reduces participating students' financial burden off and opens up a gateway for more students to play an active role in this globalized world.
* From AY 2012, the START program is offered as a general education credited course 'overseas field study' (2 credit).

| Target Students |
First Year Students (No restrictions on which faculty you belong to)
*Priority given to students who have less overseas experience and who have received majority of their elementary through secondary education in Japan.
