About the laptop requirement
In Hiroshima University registration of classes, inspection of grades and contacts from faculty staff or offices and so on are made through Web site "Student Information System Momiji" (link is external). This policy is part of our resource saving strategy towards a "paperless office".
Also in university life, you need a PC and internet in many cases such as making lecture reports and theses.
Therefore, students admitted in 2015 academic year and after must have a PC. To spend a comfortable student life please bring your own note PC and use it.
Hiroshima University COOP has a PC short-term lease (basically with charge) to cope with the case when your PC is under repair or you forgot to bring your PC.

Those who have a must-have PC shall attend a first lecture at admission, or submit "PC checking notification".
