We have set rules for having BBQs at the Higashi-Hiroshima Campus. Please make sure everyone participating checks the details and follows the rules.

【About the application】
・If you want to have a BBQ, the person in charge should basically apply at least 5 business days in advance.
・Make sure everyone who plans to join checks the notes and precautions posted on this page beforehand.
・Please sign up using the 'Application Form' at the bottom of the page.

【Period when BBQs are normally allowed】
April to October (to avoid seasons when plants can easily catch fire)

【Time when BBQs are normally allowed】
From 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., including clean-up time.
※Please finish all activities, including cleaning up, and have everyone leave by 9:00 p.m.

【Rules for Holding a BBQ Event】
1. Students may not hold a BBQ by themselves. An academic supervisor or tutor must also take part. This should be the supervisor or tutor of at least one participating student. If possible, more than one supervisor or tutor should take part.
2. Use only the approved place. Even after approval has been granted, permission may be withdrawn if the risk of fire is considered high due to strong winds or other conditions.
3. Handle fire carefully, for example by using a BBQ grill. Make sure heat does not reach buildings or plants
4. Prepare two to three buckets of water. Also, confirm the location of the nearest fire extinguisher.
5. Do not shout or make loud noise. Do not use generators or other noisy machines or equipment.
6. People under 20 must not drink alcohol. Do not drink alcohol quickly, force anyone to drink, drink too much, or drive after drinking. Riding a bicycle or motorcycle after drinking is also drunk driving, just like driving a car.
7. Follow the instructions of security staff.
8. Check the emergency contact information in advance. The security office and the designated after-hours/holiday emergency medical provider will be listed on the event approval form when permission is granted.
For the doctor on duty at night or on holidays, see the Higashi-hiroshima City website:
https://www.city.higashihiroshima.lg.jp/soshiki/kenkofukushi/2/4/11519.html
9. After using fire, make sure it is completely out and the area is safe.
10. Do not leave any waste. Take all waste with you, includeing used charcoal and ash.

【Important】
If any of the above rules are violated, all participants in the BBQ may, in principle, be prohibited from conducting future BBQs on the Higashi-hiroshima Campus.
