April 21 (Thur) 12:15 a.m

Higashi-Hiroshima-shi, Kagamiyama 2-chome Gagara-guchi Intersection

The int'l student was riding their bike across the pedestrian path to the side of the intersection. There, a car came and hit the student, and fled. Since it was after midnight, the signals were out and the surrounding areas were dark and it is believed that this caused the difficulty in seeing the bike from the car.

May 7 (Sat) 9:10 a.m.

Higashi-Hiroshima-shi, Saijo, Gojou-machi, Rt. 486 Intersection

The int'l student was riding their bike on the side pedestrian path of the intersection, crossing on a green light. The student was scraped by a car which was turning right and fell down.The cause is thought to be that the driver was not looking carefully as they turned.

May 29 (Sun) 10:35 p.m.

Hiroshima-shi, Naka-ku, Nobori-machi City, Street Intersection

The int'l student, crossing a pedestrian crossing zone, was hit by a taxi turning right.The taxi, turning right from a wide street into a semi-dark, smaller street, was late in realizing the walker who was crossing.

Higashi-Hiroshima-shi Kagamiyama 3-chome, Science Park

The int'l student was riding a motorcycle on their way home when they fell turning a curve.The cause is thought to be a handlebar malfunction due to the speed of the motorcycle.

August 10 (Wed) 5:30 p.m.

Higashi-Hiroshima-shi, Saijo, Misonou Rt. 375 Intersection

The int'l student was crossing an intersection with no signal on bike when they were hit by a car coming in from the left.
The cause is thought to be that the driver was not clearly looking forward.

December 1 (Wed) 12:30 a.m.

Hiroshima-shi, Naka-ku, Tokaichi City Street

The int'l student was riding a motorcycle when the taxi in front of them suddenly stopped to pick up a customer and the student rear-ended the taxi.
Either the student was not carefully watching ahead or the taxi driver did not consider the possibility of a rear-end collision when suddenly stopping to pick up the customer are considered the main causes.

December 5 (Mon) 2:40 p.m.

Higashi-Hiroshima-shi, Kagamiyama 3-chome, City Street (Boulevard)

The int'l student was riding a motorcycle down a snowy road and, when they went to change lanes and turned the handlebar, they slipped and fell.
The cause is thought to be a lack of knowledge about how slippery the roads were due to snow.

Higashi-Hiroshima-shi, Kagamiyama 2-chome, Gagara-guchi Intersection

The int'l student was crossing the intersection on a green light on their bike when they were scraped by a car turning left and fell down.The car driver was paying attention to the motorcycle in front of them and was late in noticing the bicycle.
