Q1. Is the use of personal computers compulsory?

At Hiroshima University, registering for courses and inspection of academic results or communication with teachers and offices are held via internet through the website "Gakusei Joho no Mori - MOMIJI" (link is external). This policy is part of our resource saving strategy towards a "paperless office".

A personal computer and internet connection is also necessary for many other study activities such as writing reports or theses.

Therefore, from the academic year of 2015, the use of personal computers has become compulsory for newly enrolled undergraduate students. For your convenience as a student, we suggest you to bring your own PC for your studies.

Hiroshima University CO-OP offers a short-term computer rental service to students whose personal computers are out of order and being repaired, or for those who forget to bring their PCs to the university (for a fee).
