How has disarmament, including nuclear disarmament---which has been positioned as one of Japan's most important foreign and security policies---progressed, been discussed, and what difficulties have been faced? This course examines disarmament and peace/security from various perspectives, such as the "ideal" and "reality," and power, interests and values (norms) that have shaped the international relations. |

Grading Method |
Students will be comprehensively evaluated based on the comments sheets (reaction papers) submitted at each lesson (30%), a report entitled "My Approach to Peace" (30%), and a final report (40%). No credit will be given to students who do not submit the "My Approach to Peace." |
