This class aims to connect with Specialized Education with followings;
・Lecturers’ long experience of education and research.
・Especially a former professor of Hiroshima University who experienced being A-bombed.
・Hints and ideas regarding solutions of peace problems.
 
Expected Outcome1. To be able to think about peace from multiple perspectives and express their own opinions.
2. To understand and be able to explain various factors that prevent peace and the complex aspects involved, including conflicts between ideology and reality.
 
Class Objectives
/Class Outline
・This class will approach peace by considering that being bombed is the fact, especially the experience of a former professor of Hiroshima University who was A-bombed.
・This class will consider about a shock and am impact for human being by an atomic bomb from some angles, for example culture, studies.
・This class will lecture on war which threatens peace from a cause, an actual situation and an influence.

Please take into account the case of submitting a report entitled “My Approach to Peace", and do in-depth self-study on issues related to peace and humanity, using the Internet and other resources. 
Requirements  
Grading Method Comments for each lesson (as the certificate of attendance): 50%
Study and report of peace memorial monuments and videos (necessary to get the credits of this class): 20%
Final examination: 30%

Other You are required to submit a report entitled "My Approach to Peace" as a common assignment for Peace Science Courses. When you fail to submit the report, the credits will not be awarded.
【Period of the report submission】
The 1st term course--> from April 30th to May 13th
The 2nd term course--> from July 1st to July 8th
The 3rd term course--> from October 28th to November 7th
Night program course--> Follow teachers’ instructions
