本の検索を手軽に「らいぶらりん」/ Easily search for books「Librarin」 2025/4/11

図書館で本を探すの、こんなことで困ったことありませんか？
・「読みたい本があるかどうか、大学・市立・県立の各図書館のサイトをいちいち調べるのが面倒…」
・「知らない本との偶然の出会いが欲しいな〜」
・「今いる場所から近い図書館に、その本があるか知りたい！」
こんな声をきっかけに、TGIFでは新機能 「らいぶらりん」 を開発しました。
最近では、図書館や本屋に足を運ぶ人が減ってきていると感じています。ECサイトの普及で、欲しい本の情報には簡単にアクセスできるようになった一方で、目的の本以外に出会う機会が少なくなっているのではないでしょうか。

そもそも図書館や本屋に行く価値とは何か？
改めて考えてみると、「偶然の出会い」こそが大きな魅力だと私たちは考えました。

そこで「らいぶらりん」では、本の表紙だけがずらりと並ぶデザインを採用。まるで図書館や本屋の棚を眺めているような感覚で、気になる本と出会える仕組みになっています。

この機能を通じて、少しでも多くの人が本と触れ合うきっかけになれば嬉しいです。

Ever run into these problems when searching for books at the library?
・"It's such a hassle to check if the book I want is available—I have to visit the websites of each university, city, and prefectural library one by one..."
・"I want to discover books I’ve never heard of!"
・"I’d love to know if the book I’m looking for is available at a library near my current location!"

In response to voice like this, we ,TGIF's student fellow, developed a new feature called “Librarin”.
We’ve noticed a decline in the number of people visiting libraries and bookstores in recent years.
With the rise of online shopping platforms, it's easier than ever to search for and buy specific books—but harder to come across something unexpected or new.

So, what’s the true value of visiting a library or bookstore?
When we gave it some thought, we realized it’s the chance to stumble upon books you weren’t even looking for—those serendipitous discoveries.

That’s exactly what we set out to recreate with Librarin.
We designed it to show only book covers, laid out in a way that feels just like browsing the shelves of a library or bookstore—inviting, visual, and full of surprises.

We hope this feature gives more people a chance to reconnect with books in a natural and enjoyable way.
