Class Objectives

This course addresses advanced topics in the dwelling and residential life domain, including safety and disaster preparedness, dwelling environment and health, energy and resources, housing planning, maintenance and management, and dwelling in relation to society. Through overviews, guided readings, and problem-focused discussions, students will systematically organize key issues in the field. By presenting and discussing assigned readings, students will strengthen their ability to provide evidence-based explanations and critical analyses. In the final stage, students will develop a teaching material design proposal that connects domain knowledge to learning objectives, learning activities, and assessment.
