This course aims to provide a foundational understanding of major contemporary literary theories, such as narratology, reception theory, feminist criticism, and ecocriticism, and to help students develop perspectives applicable to their own research.
Each presenter will select a topic from Kosei Ogura (ed.), Hihyō Riron o Manabu Hito no Tame ni (Sekai Shisōsha, 2023), introduce it, provide supplementary explanations, as well as present and critically discuss related academic papers.
