The purpose of this seminar is to deepen the understanding of pragmatics while reading academic papers and having a discussion concerning the pros and cons of each paper. In addition, the aim of the seminar is to develop the knowledge regarding language and culture, the role of the listener during the conversation, gender, politeness, and more.
