Class Objectives /Class Outline |
Intercellular communication is a fundamental mechanism crucial for plant growth and development. In recent years, a number of signaling pathways mediated by secreted peptide hormones and their receptors have been identified. It is becoming clear that peptide hormones function in a wide variety of processes, ranging from plant development and morphogenesis to environmental responses. This class will cover a wide range of topics, ranging from the foundational history of plant peptide hormone studies to the most recent breakthroughs, conveying the fascinating world of these hormones. |
| Class Schedule |
1)Overview of peptide hormones 2)Diverse functions of plant peptide hormones 3)Biosynthesis of plant peptide hormones 4)Receptors for plant peptide hormones 5)Evolution of plant peptide hormones 6)Research on plant peptide hormones |
