Class Objectives
/Class Outline
Intercellular communication is a fundamental mechanism crucial for plant growth and development. In recent years, a number of signaling pathways mediated by secreted peptide hormones and their receptors have been identified. It is becoming clear that peptide hormones function in a wide variety of processes, ranging from plant development and morphogenesis to environmental responses. This class will cover a wide range of topics, ranging from the foundational history of plant peptide hormone studies to the most recent breakthroughs, conveying the fascinating world of these hormones.

Class Schedule 1)Overview of peptide hormones
2)Diverse functions of plant peptide hormones
3)Biosynthesis of plant peptide hormones
4)Receptors for plant peptide hormones
5)Evolution of plant peptide hormones
6)Research on plant peptide hormones
