Class Objectives /Class Outline |
This course develops the ability to gain scientific insight into human movement and motor behavior, grounded in advanced measurement and analytical methods for human movement and motion analysis. Specifically, students will acquire hands-on experience in the full research process—from formulating hypothesis-driven research plans, through data collection and analysis, to the interpretation of results—with the goal of building the research competencies required for doctoral dissertation work. |
| Class Schedule |
1. Acquire advanced measurement and analytical techniques in human movement and motion analysis, and develop the ability to gain scientific insight into human movement and motor behavior. 2. Develop practical competencies in research planning, execution, and reporting necessary for doctoral dissertation work. 3. Develop a research proposal that is grounded in hypotheses, theory, and evidence, and that incorporates pioneering research content. 4. Analyze experimental data, address identified issues, and develop the ability to interpret and discuss results. |
