Students will gain an understanding of real companies and work that they would not be able to experience in a regular university class, by hearing real stories from their seniors who are active in major companies, etc., about how organizations and operations are unique to major companies, operations in various fields, and the front lines of cross-border business that are difficult to see from the outside. To develop the ability to read and decipher information and think for oneself amidst the whirlpool of information that floods the market. To imagine oneself as a working adult, in what kind of industry, and what kind of professional one aspires to become. The on-demand format allows for repeated viewing, so the program will be offered to international students who are seeking employment in Japan.
*This course will be offered on demand so that international students who have difficulty understanding Japanese can watch it repeatedly.

【Course Overview and Objectives】
Understand personnel systems in Japanese companies and career paths across various companies and industries. After learning about typical career paths tailored to specific companies and industries, students will hear from graduates active in companies ranging from large corporations to small and medium-sized enterprises across diverse sectors, as well as those who have started their own businesses. These speakers will share their own career experiences while introducing career paths observed within companies. This will help students understand diverse career paths while learning how to seize opportunities and cultivate an attitude of proactively building their own careers.  Learn about Japanese corporate HR systems and career paths to concretely envision your desired career.

Lesson 1–2: Understand Japanese companies' personnel systems and career paths.
Lesson 3–8: Listen to stories from various industries to understand the variations in Japanese companies' personnel systems and career paths. Also, understand the work styles at different companies. By concretely imagining what kind of industry and what kind of company organization you will work in, use this to help build your own career design. 
Requirements 1. Capacity is limited to 40 students. If capacity is exceeded, priority will be given to participants in the specific program “Career Development Promotion Program for International Students” (approximately 20 students per academic year).

2. This is a course offered by the Global Career Design Center. lecturers for Lesson 3 through 8 are all practicing professionals and graduates of Hiroshima University (primarily members of the Senda Juku). As all instructors are active business professionals, posting or forwarding lecture content, slides, or other materials on SNS or other platforms is strictly prohibited.

3. Doctoral students should complete course registration procedures with the Education Promotion Group (Liberal Arts Education) (the first floor, Building M, School of Integrated Arts and Sciences).
 
Grading Method ・There will be no final exam. Students must submit a short report for each class session (via Forms). Submit these reports in Japanese.
・Each short report should be approximately 400 characters. Reports will be evaluated based on: "Whether you understood the lecturer's presentation ", " Whether you understood the company's work and career paths discussed by the lecture",   "Whether you were able to reflect on your own career based on the lecturer's presentation". Reports will be graded on a 100-point scale.
 
Practical Experience  
Summary of Practical Experience and Class Contents based on it  
Message Learn about career paths in Japan and life as a “professional” from lectures by executives who have been active at the forefront of their respective industries. Attend these sessions while envisioning your own career within Japanese companies.
