Learning Outcomes
By taking this course, students will acquire the followings.
1) Gain basic understanding of intercultural theories, such as intercultural communication, culture shock, reverse culture shock, cultural adjustment and readjustment.
2) Students enhance intercultural competence to be associated with Japanese society.
3) Through fieldwork with high school, local administration office, and local companies, students learn to connect theories and practices so that they could interact in Japanese society and also in culturally diverse environment.

**地域学校・行政機関・企業と調整するため,スケジュールは変更となることがある。Schedule can be changed since field trips need to be arranged with local school, local government, and local industry, etc.
 重要:受講人数制限あり。There is a limited capacity for the course registration [15 students Only]. First come, first served. *Bus is to be chartered.
 授業登録にあたり,見学のためのバス代・保険料金を事前に支払うこと。Bus and Insurance fees are required for field trips (approx. 500yen). For details, please contact the lecturer.
 日本語レベルは、問わない(初級・中級・上級すべて受講可能)。
No particular Japanese proficiency is required for "Glocal Internship I".
  地域学校・地域行政・地域企業を訪問するため、日本的礼儀を理解する態度・授業に対し真剣に取り組む態度について確認を要する。
Since students are working with local schools, local government, and local industry, serious attitudes and understanding of courtesy in Japanese society are required.
 詳細なシラバスは第一回の授業で配布する。The detailed syllabus will be distributed in the 1st week of the course.

Message 本授業では、地域学校・地域行政・地域企業を訪問したり、一緒にプロジェクトやディスカッションに取り組む機会を設けています。日本及び世界の様々な人々と実際に関わりつつ実践を通して学ぶことを目指しています。
Students have opportunities to visit local school and local industry in Japan. Through discussions,  experiential learning, and project work, students are expected to acquire intercultural competence to work with Japanese people and people from diverse cultural backgrounds.  
9月にオンライン・オリエンテーションを開催予定です。世界の留学生をオンラインで結び、説明会を行います。
**There is ONLINE Orientation for the course in September (To be notified at the end of August).  The lecturer will send you information after you contact the lecturer on the 1st email introduction.
