Class Objectives

This overseas training program will be held during the summer vacation.
The program aims to cultivate broad knowledge and a global perspective by visiting Visayas State University (VSU) and University of San Carlos (USC) in the Philippines, deepening English-language exchanges with local faculty, students, and staff. It also seeks to acquire knowledge regarding the sustainable use of resources and approaches to environmental ecosystem conservation in today's world.
Through participation in this fieldwork, students will learn about: ① The diversity of relationships between food resources and local communities, ② Practical techniques for the sustainable use of food resources in Southeast Asia, which has a different climate and natural environment from Japan, and ③ Biodiversity.

Previous learning, learning when visiting and post learning are performed. After the practical, achievement report of seminars and tours are submitted. 
Requirements Afterwards, applicants who pass the paper screening are interviewed and selected.
TOEIC score is required over 500 points.
It is necessary to buy travel insurance and to attend risk management seminar for abroad.
After participating class, students obligatory have TOEIC test to check thier English language improvement. 
Grading Method About 60% : Discussion and communication
About 40% : Presentation and report
