Class Objectives
/Class Outline
In this course, students learn the sequence of manufacturing processes, from material production and processing to microfabrication, joining, and strength evaluation, through hands-on work. Five laboratories each lead a three-week module in which students experience the techniques and evaluation methods used at each stage. Students will develop an understanding of how material production conditions, processing, and joining affect material properties and strength. They will also learn to observe and organize experimental results and discuss their findings.
