Suggestions on Preparation and Review |
Session 1 Preparation: Define a good dwelling environment from the viewpoint of daily activities and behavior. Review: Organize the overall process of dwelling-life planning. Session 2 Preparation: Set an assumed user profile (age, household, work style, values). Review: Learn how to derive requirements from the profile. Session 3 Preparation: Sketch a simple diagram of daily circulation and main staying places in the dwelling. Review: Link lifestyle and dwelling environment, and translate into planning conditions. Session 4 Preparation: Consider adaptability for future changes (cohabitation, independence, WFH, caregiving, etc.). Review: Organize life-cycle-based strategies for adaptability. Session 5 Preparation: Assume a site and list key checks (solar, wind, surroundings). Review: Read climate/context and connect to layout, openings, insulation, and measures. Session 6 Preparation: Consider space needs for body dimensions and everyday movement. Review: Explain the basis of dimensional and circulation planning using body size and motion. Session 7 Preparation: Consider UD in terms of spatial use, not only equipment. Review: Organize viewpoints for integrating UD into the overall plan. Session 8 Preparation: Choose one daily-life challenge for older adults or people with disabilities and imagine dwelling difficulties. Review: Convert considerations into concrete planning measures. Session 9 Preparation: Consider how behavior changes as children grow. Review: Organize key points by developmental stage and link to adaptability. Session 10 Preparation: Consider safety and security risks from a spatial planning viewpoint. Review: Organize measures as planning conditions and explain them as decision grounds. Session 11 Preparation: Review one renovation case and decide what to change vs. keep. Review: Organize approaches under existing conditions and update priorities. Session 12 Preparation: Identify information needed for requirements programming. Review: Confirm requirements as conditions, and articulate issues and strategies. Session 13 Preparation: Select relationships to prioritize in zoning. Review: Compare zoning/configuration options and justify the selected plan. Session 14 Preparation: Summarize viewpoints for review and refinement in your own words. Review: Refine through evaluate–improve–re-evaluate cycles, strengthening the rationale. Session 15 Preparation: Bullet what must be communicated in the proposal. Review: Finalize through representation and summarize overall learning. |
