・To be able to plan, design, conduct a research related on secondary education and secondary Japanese language education, and to be able to analyze and examine its results and demonstrate the importance of it.

・Toward education, contents and practices related to the secondary education and secondary Japanese language education, being able to plan and organize a research, carry it out effectively, identify problems, think, examine and solve the problems by oneself or working on a group (Research skills).
・Being able to conduct basic statistical processing and numerical representation using IT equipment such as computers (IT application). 
Class Objectives

We aim to explore fundamental knowledge related to the study of classical literature and culture while identifying research questions that can lead to a graduation thesis.

In the first half of the course, through close reading of academic papers, we will examine basic methods for identifying research topics as well as diverse research approaches across different genres. In the second half, each student will conduct research based on their individual interests and research questions, and present their findings for discussion.

No examination will be administered. After the final class session, students will be required to submit a written plan outlining their future research.

Review
Using a variety of approaches, read your chosen research text thoroughly while formulating your own research questions. Engage directly with the original classical text and consider why particular expressions are used, as well as how the author, the characters, and even the readers might have thought. 
Requirements  
Grading Method Evaluation will be based comprehensively on students’ contributions during the reading sessions, the materials prepared for their presentations, their participation in discussions, and the final research plan submitted as the concluding assignment.
