This course provides an overview of postwar economic development in China, emphasizing its interconnections with politics, diplomacy, and international relations. Students will gain an understanding of the economic history relevant to the course content and their areas of interest and learn to organize and explain this information independently.

Requirements Class participation will be an important component of assessment. Students will be evaluated not only on their presentations during assigned sessions, but also on their active participation in discussions throughout the course.
