Class Objectives
/Class Outline
This course will provide an understanding of medieval Japanese politics and society, focusing on the Muromachi and Sengoku periods. However, rather than viewing the Japanese archipelago and Japanese society in isolation, students will gain a broader understanding of Japanese society in relation to social changes in East Asia and the world as a whole.
