Students will explore the relationship between language and society through discourse analysis and conduct research and analysis toward self-defined research goals. The course aims to develop foundational academic communication skills necessary for presenting research-based findings.

Students are required to submit pre- and post-class homework. 
Requirements Since the content of “Language and Society II” is based on “Language and Society I,” it is recommended that students take both courses. As this course includes substantial group work, regular attendance is strongly recommended.
