This lecture explores French culture and history from ancient times to the present, helping students understand how these elements have shaped French “civilization” or ‘‘Frenchness’’.

Evaluation will be made on the Group Presentation. In cases where participation is absolutely impossible, a report may be accepted as an alternative measure.

For each lecture session, you will be asked to write a summary and analysis of the contents. This will help you learn how to synthesize key points. Please note that from the 10th session, the content may be adjusted depending on the number of participants.

From Session 1 to 15, read the indicated references. 
Requirements Students are required to have proficiency in French equivalent to having taken the Basic French course. We also require active participation in discussions and group work.
