Class Objectives
/Class Outline
This lecture provides the basic concepts and analytical methods related to the evaluation of loads and external forces acting on buildings after  the concepts of safety and risk. Students will also understand the methodology of structural reliability engineering. This will help students understand structural analysis methods for various types of buildings and the concept of performance design using these methods.
Class Schedule lesson1: Introduction
lesson2: Performance requirements and target performance level in structural design
lesson3: Basics of probability and statistics
lesson4: Quantification of structural performance based on structural reliability theory
