Class Objectives
/Class Outline
This class will provide synthetic methodology and characteristics of polymer materials from the viewpoint of green chemistry. In the first half of this class, polycondensation and the ring-opening polymerization will be explained for the effective preparation of various function polymers. The latter half describes the synthesis and the characteristics of the environment-friendly polymer materials. The significance of environment-friendly polymer materials will be learned. Typical biodegradable polymers, biomass-derived polymers, and polymer recycle will be reviewed.
