Class Objectives /Class Outline |
The objective is to enhance practical leadership and educational creativity backed by a broad perspective on the educational field, and to acquire the viewpoint of a teacher in a leadership position, i.e., a teacher educator, through observing the planning and management of various events, in addition to subject instruction. The objectives to be achieved in this field study are as follows 1. To grasp the actual situation of the educational field and to comprehensively understand the qualities required of teachers. 2. 2. To identify current issues in the field of education and acquire a research-oriented attitude toward solving them. 3. 3. To conduct research on teaching materials and practically explore more advanced teaching strategies appropriate to the subject being taught. |

[Contents] ○Preliminary guidance The Teacher Education Field Research Steering Committee and the supervising teacher will conduct this at an appropriate time before the implementation of the teacher education field research. ・Confirmation of implementation schedule ・Confirmation of responsibilities ・Planning of teacher education field research ○Notes and communications ・Confirmation of points to note, including work-related points ・Confirmation of points to note regarding instruction ○Teacher education field research ・Conducting teaching material research ・Conducting practical research ・Observation of other classes, school duties, etc. ○Post-steering guidance The Teacher Education Field Research Steering Committee and the supervising teacher will conduct this at an appropriate time after the implementation of the teacher education field research. ・Reflection on teacher education field research ・Consideration from the viewpoint of teacher educators [Method] ・Each participant will set a goal for their field research, and will develop a teacher education field research plan (date and time, location and time allocation, points to note) for each session, which will be confirmed and guided by the supervising teacher. ・Participants will conduct teacher education field research based on this guidance plan, and after implementation, they will create a record book and will be confirmed and guided by the supervising teacher. ・Supervising teachers will visit the class and provide guidance as necessary.
To create lesson plans and to submit a field research report are required. |

# This class is only for students of the Educational Design for Teacher Educators Program and the Educational Studies Program. # Course registration will be done by answering MS Forms after the guidance session, so registration cannot be done through the "Momiji". # Teacher's license in Japan and a strong desire to be involved in the field of education are required. |
Grading Method |
# Based on the submitted a field research report, credits will be granted in consultation with each supervising teacher. # Credits will be granted by judging "Pass" or "Fail" for each of "Preparation and Teaching Material Research Status," "Reflection Status of Teacher Education Field Research," and "Acquisition Status of a Teacher Educator's Perspective." Credits will be granted if all three items are "Pass." # The "Pass" or "Fail" judgment for each item will be on a three-point scale: "Sufficient," "Some issues," and "Insufficient," with "Sufficient" and "Some issues" being considered "Pass." |
