Class Objectives /Class Outline |
From the 3rd to 7th lessons, the course will explore the history of British social policy. It explores how British society coped with the deteriorating urban environment and built a welfare system. In the 8th, 9th and 10th lessons, students will read English texts and discuss the issues in them. From the 11th to 12th lessons, the course will focus on the British Empire, examining the change of international system from the political, social and intellectual aspects. Each student will give one presentation about his/her final essay, followed by class discussion. |
