Objectives of the class To be able to explain the problems that occur in the welfare field and their background. 2. To be able to explain psychosocial issues and necessary support methods in welfare settings. 3. 3. to have a sufficient understanding of child abuse issues, and to be able to explain the necessary support techniques for those who do not have needs, focusing on the perspective of "child safety". 4. Understand elder abuse and explain the necessary support for family members and facility staff. 5. 5. To fully understand children with disabilities and dementia with a medical background, and to explain the necessary support techniques for their families. 6. have a certain level of medical knowledge (including psychiatry) and be able to explain the basic contents to family members and community supporters, taking into account the need to cooperate with health and medical institutions when necessary as a specialist in the welfare field. 7. To be able to give an overview of the practice of licensed psychologists in the field of social welfare.
Outline of the class The welfare field is an important support resource for people in need of social care, such as abused children, disabled children and the elderly. In this course, students will learn about the structure of abuse, type and degree of disability, and family dynamics of those who are supported in the welfare field, including medical and psychosocial backgrounds and issues, using practical examples. In addition, students will learn about psychological support methods as direct support necessary in the welfare field through experience and practical examples. In addition, students will acquire basic knowledge about the problems that occur in the welfare field and their backgrounds, mental health of the staff working in the welfare field, and the actual collaboration between the welfare field and related fields such as healthcare, education, and judicial affairs. |

A final report (60%) will be required on the above objectives, and the final evaluation will be made together with the mini-report (40%) in class. |
