This class primarily focuses on Middle Iranian (Eastarn dialects) espcially (Manichaean) Sogdian and Khotanese (Khotan Saka), aiming to understand the framework of Indo-European studies and to deepen knowledge of Indo-European phonology.

Requirements Graduate student engaged in linguistic studies are eligible for this course.  Participants are required to haven taken "Seminar on Historical Linguistics B" in summer seminar. 
Grading Method Evaluation is performed comprehensively based on competence shown in each class and on a report.
