Class Objectives /Class Outline |
The influence of Chinese classical novels on Japanese literature has been discussed repeatedly over the years. However, there are still many aspects that require further examination. This course focuses particularly on Chinese literary-language novels (wenyan xiaoshuo) and aims to deepen students’ understanding of how they have influenced Japanese literature and culture.
