To marshal and apply previously learned vocabulary, expressions and grammar for writing each component of papers and reports, such as background explanation, description of experiments or investigations, analysis, discussion, conclusion, etc.
To develop the skill necessary to write a text in a logical, well-reasoned way

Students are required to review basic vocabulary and expressions for academic writing before the class, to attempt the given drills after the class.
Students are expected to actively share findings from the class activity and homework.  
Requirements Students with level 5 or above as per the placement test and are not native speakers of Japanese. Students cannot enroll in classes Level 4 or below.
It is preferable to take “Academic Writing B” in the previous semester.
