To introduce students to scientific theories for promoting health and physical strength, and develop an attitude of enjoying sports throughout their lifetime as well as social skills, such as manners and cooperation, through the practice of sports suited

Class Objectives
/Class Outline
Students learn the significance of enjoying sports in a rich natural environment outside the campus and the importance of manners and cooperation as a group, and practice marine sports. 
Class Schedule Pre-training (tentative): August 5, ice-break, group work, and light exercise such as soft volleyball at the West Gymnasium of Hiroshima University.
Practical training (tentative): September 10-11 at the Kenmin-no-hama and B&G Ocean Center in Kamakari-cho, Kure City, Hiroshima Prefecture, as a two-day and one-night intensive class. Under the abundant nature, sea kayaking, sup, cutter, outdoor activities, outdoor cooking, and astronomical observation will be conducted in cooperation with the group members.

*A report will be given after the practical training.

*The schedule and content of the classes may change significantly depending on the weather and other factors.

Review
It is recommended that students research the safety and basics of marine sports, as well as the geography and history of Kure Gamagari. 
Requirements Course registration procedures will be conducted at a briefing session in April (this cannot be done at Momiji).
All students who wish to take the course must attend this briefing session. The date, time, and place of the briefing will be announced on Momiji and on the bulletin board.
If the number of applicants exceeds the maximum number, a drawing will be held at the briefing. The number of applicants is limited to 30 (15 males and 15 females due to the availability of a cottage to accommodate them).
A fee of approximately 25,000 yen, including transportation costs, is required to participate in the practical training. The specific schedule and other details will be announced at the orientation.
