Preparation and
Review Session 1: Guidance and how to study
Session 2: Learn a contemporary historical perspective from the trends within the Japanese Navy at the Washington Naval Treaty Conference.
Session 3: Learn about the perspective and viewpoint of an analyst by interpreting how the Washington System was understood after the war.
Session 4: Take up the naval officer Mizuno Hironori and reexamine the significance of his ideological development.
Session 5: Learn about the Manchurian Incident, which is considered a turning point for Japan in the prewar period.
Session 6: Learn about the period before and after the Manchurian Incident and what a true evaluation is.
Sessions 7 and 8: Learn about the Showa era military, the prewar Japanese army and navy, political-military relations, total war, war ideology, etc. What were Morito's actions when Japan was defeated? Morito's postwar vision and actions.
Sessions 9 and 10: What role did Morito play in the establishment of the Japanese Constitution? Please be sure to research Article 25 of the Constitution, "Right to Life."
Part 11: We will consider the response of intellectuals to university conflicts. We would like you to give us your answer as to what an intellectual is.
Part 12: What are university conflicts and how can they be resolved?
Part 13: We will consider the issues surrounding the Science Council of Japan today, from the formation of intellectual groups in post-war Japan.
Part 14: We will consider the consciousness of a "small country" and the responsibilities of a "great power", and the shape and consciousness of post-war Japan as a nation.
Summary: We will summarize our views on politics and history.

Requirements

Grading Method Evaluate by final exam (written exam). Written test (70%), report (30%). A score of 60 or more is accepted.
