How does psychological research contribute to understanding of social phenomena and problems? In this lecture, I will introduce how psychological studies explain daily-life phenomena and problems, and how they contribute to providing the solutions.

Lesson 2: Methodologies of psychology and their real-life applications
Lesson 3: Why do we buy the same products? (Loss aversion)
Lesson 4: Why do we tickle the till? (Dual process theory)
Lesson 5: Eyewitness testimony (memory)
Lesson 6: Why is rumor prevalent during disasters? (Mechanism of rumor)
Lesson 7: Against empathy (Empathy)-1
Lesson 8: Against empathy (Empathy)-2
Lesson 9: Where does your impression come from? (Impression formation)
Lesson 10: "Who's really bad?": On-screen villains (Attribution bias)
Lesson 11: Religion and psychology (Intergroup conflict)
