Credits for passing this course can be given to students who have acquired advanced language abilities by participating in an intermediate or advanced level course abroad.
This course must be conducted either by Hiroshima University itself or by other educational institutions such as colleges, universities, or language schools.
In order to get credits, the students are required to come to the teacher with the following two documents after coming back to Japan:
 1. The papers about the course curriculum.
 2. The officially-delivered certificate after the course.

Requirements This course is designed to assess and certify the achievements of students who have developed advanced language skills by participating in intermediate or advanced level language training courses in the relevant language, run by the University or an educational institution abroad.
Language training courses in Japan are not eligible.
The study levels of overseas language training courses eligible for credit are as follows:

・Chinese: HSK level 4 or above
・Korean: TOPIK II (Test of Proficiency in Korean) level 6 or above
・German: Training at level B1 or above as defined by the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR)
・French: Training at level B1 or above as defined by the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR)
・Spanish: Training at level B1 or above as defined by the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR)

Please check with your course teacher in advance whether the language training you are participating in is eligible for credit.
 
Grading Method Course grades and credits depend on the learning hours that were involved in the course.
For every 30 learning hours, the students get one credit.
They can get maximally four credits according to the length of their learning time.
If the certificate includes information about grades, they can get also grades according to that, otherwise only the credit(s) is/are given.
