Class Objectives
/Class Outline
There are two major goals in this class. The first one is to obtain a basic knowledge of the physical properties of materials for the preparations. The knowledge is required to understand the drug manufacturing processes and the pharmaceutical tests.
The second one is to understand the formulations of pharmaceuticals, the dosage forms and drug delevery system; these are the essensial factors to control the safety and efficacy of drugs.

Preparation and
Review
To prepare the lectures, please go through the textbook first. The lectures will help understand the contents in the textbook.
Then, add your notes on your textbook by referring handouts in the lectures as a review. Please use Moodle system as a review tool as well. 
Requirements The lecture movie can be watched after the lecture on moodle system. 
Grading Method Grading will be based on results of short test concerning each lecture in moodle (20), Exam 1 (40), and Exam 2 (40). Total score needs to be at or above 60 to pass this class. If your score is below 60, you need to take a resit exam a few weeks later.
