Class Objectives /Class Outline |
This course is aimed at providing the basic knowledge and understanding of Japanese politics, both domestic and foreign, in English for Japanese and non-Japanese students. Domestic politics in Japan will be discussed in terms of its national as well as local institutions and their operation, while its foreign policy will be followed from the end of the last World War in its regional variables, directions and changes. Multicultural coexistence in Japan will be also discussed in comparison with other countries'. Students are expected to actively participate in the discussion that follows the lecture delivered by the instructors. |
