The aim of this lecture is to grasp some aspects of the material culture in theYayoi period, through understanding making methods of bronze objects, accessories like bracelets, and iron tools, and the like. 
Class Schedule Class 1; The framework of the Yayoi period and how to explore the actual chronology.
Class 2; "Kuni" in northern Kyushu and the Kingdom"YAMATAI".
Class 3; Types of imported Chinese(Han) mirrors and their changes (design).
Class 4; Types of imported mirrors and their changes (inscriptions).
Class 5; The types of bracelet ornaments and their changes (stone products).
Class 6; Types and evolution of bracelet ornaments (bronze).
Class 7; Production techniques and remains of neck lace (jade) (types of jade and production techniques).
Class 8; Necklace (jade) production techniques and their remains (development and changes in production techniques).
Class 9; The origins of iron artifact production in East Asia (the Warring States period).
Class 10; The origins of ironware production in East Asia (production of cast ironware and its importation).
Class 11; Types of ironware and their production techniques (excavated artifacts in the Japanese archipelago).
Class 12; Iron artifact types and their production techniques (blacksmithing remains and their development).
Class 13; The growth of chiefs' tombs and their burial accessories (from northern Kyushu to San'in region).
Class 14; Growth of chiefs' tombs and their burial accessories (Sanyo to Kinki regions).
Class 15; Summary of the class.

An examination about the topics of these lectures.
