This course reconstructs the philosophy of Peter Frederick Strawson (1919–2006), one of the most prominent British philosophers of the 20th century, using the concept of "descriptive metaphysics" as a key framework. Each session will examine Strawson’s major works, with the ultimate goal of situating his monumental paper, "Freedom and Resentment", within the broader context of his philosophical thought. |
