Class Objectives
/Class Outline
This course introduces the relationship between humans and nature in Japan from sociological points of view.
The goals of this course are to
(1) Be able to understand the wild animals damage and changes in wild boar hunting in Japan.
(2) Be able to understand lumber culture and the history of forest resources.
(3) Obtain basic knowledge about Japan’s natural resources through a comparison with Southeast Asia.
(4) Develop the ability of think about symbiosis between man and nature.
