In this class, the Lecturer will explain basic knowledge about fieldwork in sociology and anthropology, and then give a lecture based on the findings of the lecture’s previous field researches in Thailand and Laos.  By the end of the class, students should be able to get some basic images on academic fieldwork.

The Lecture will be based on sociology, anthropology and area studies on Thailand and Laos. It is recommended to read through an introductory book on sociology and anthropology to facilitate understanding. We encourage you to search internet for getting basic information on Thai and Laos.
