/Class Outline
Serving as basic orientation for students' university education, the aim of the seminar is to stimulate students' intellectual curiosity, foster active, heuristic, explorative learning, and lay the foundations for integrated arts and sciences. To this end, students will learn fundamental research skills and the methods of scientific thought. Students will also undertake "mini research projects" through group-work, enabling them to practice the basic skills they have learned in actual research. 
Class Schedule Session 1, 2 Basic Skills for Studying at University Level (1): Researching - How to Use Pitfalls of the Internet, Prepare Materials, and How to Give Presentations.
Session 3, 4 Orientation Camp Training (1)  (2)
(Session 5,6  Hirodai Campus nature tour or external facility tour (tentative))
Session 7,8  Mini Research Project through Group-work (1): Identifying Problems (2):Mini Research Project through Group-work  
Session 9,10 Mini Research Project through Group-work (3): Collating the Results into a Unified Whole,Preparing Materials for a Presentation
Session 11,12 Mini Research Project through Group-work (4):Overall summary. Making materials for presentation
