To learn curator's duties on site and acquire a basic level of ability.

Preparation and
Review
Visit as wide a variety of museums as possible when you have time in preparation for the practicum in museums, and observe exhibition methods, personnel allocation, their roles there, etc. 
Requirements 1. Students who expect to graduate from the University in fiscal 2024.
2. Students who have completed Practicum in Museum Studies 1 (University Museum)
3. Students who fulfill requirement 2, and have completed all the credits except Practicum in Museum Studies 2 (this program) or will complete them within fiscal 2024.
4.  Students who can find a museum which will accept them for Practicum in Museum Studies 2 (External Museums to the University) during summer holidays or other holidays in 2024.
5. Students who take out both of ‘Personal accident insurance for students pursuing education and research’ and ‘Personal liability insurance for students pursuing education and research.’


Notice (Important)  
Be well aware that participants cannot cancel, be absent or be late for the practicum except under unavoidable circumstances such as accidents. 
Grading Method Evaluation mainly from assessment by the museum, practicum journals and reports at Post-factum Guidance 
Practical Experience Experienced  
Summary of Practical Experience and Class Contents based on it Establishment and operation of a university museum (2006-). Aim for practical curator education through display of materials, preservation of specimen, and commentary on exhibits. 
Message Guidance will be held on April 17 12:50-14:20. The schedule will be posted on the bulletin board, and make sure to check it. Students who fail to attend the Preliminary Guidance may not take Practicum in Museum Studies 2. 
Other Both of Practicum in Museum Studies 1 (University Museum) and Practicum in Museum Studies 2 (External Museums to the University) are statutory subjects. Therefore students without completion of Practicum in Museum Studies 1 (University Museum) are not eligible for this course.
