Class Objectives /Class Outline |
Fieldwork is the investigation research activity that is performed in Japan and/or overseas as a part of educational research activities. It is carried out on the basis of a Fieldwork Implementation Plan (which includes information such as the purpose of the research, period, place, description of the research, contact information)prepared by the student under the supervision of his/her academic advisor . The period of Fieldwork MUST be two weeks or longer (at least 60 hours of actual working). |

After consultation with academic advisor, participants must obtain sufficient information, in advance, about the areas of activities, etc. |
Requirements |
Students should contact the Support Office for International Cooperation Studies(koku-gaku@office.hiroshima-u.ac.jp) in advance, stating the name of the program(JD,YPPCIO) and obtain a form to submit. Under the academic advisor’s guidance, students have to submit a written Field Work Implementation Plan to the Support Office at least 2 weeks prior to start of the field work. Upon completion, students must submit a fieldwork completion report (at least four A4 pages) and an observation/assessment of his/her academic advisor to the Support Office before the end of the following semester. |
Grading Method |
Credit will be obtained based on the field work completion report (submitted) and the observation/assessment of academic advisor. Course registration using My MOMIJI system is not required. |
