The lecture is the 4th class on Wednesday of the 2nd term. Only the first lecture (6/1) may be a face-to-face lecture. The second and subsequent classes will be held online.

This course is designed to give students an opportunity to acquaint themselves with basic understanding of what entrepreneurs and startups are and how venture capital works as a business model from the viewpoint of business management.
The class will consist of lectures, discussions, team business presentation, which are all made in English. Classroom discussions constitute an essential part of this course and individual contributions for discussions will be highly appreciated with significant grading weight.
Regardless of students’previous knowledge in areas of economics or finance, all students are encouraged to actively participate in class room discussion and to present his/ her point of views on what he/she learned through the classes.

Each student is expected to draft his or her unique business plan based on unique business idea. Class will be split into three teams where team members choose which business idea Team should adopt for Team presentation for fund raising.

Summary of Practical Experience and Class Contents based on it Industry experience: 1) Investment Banker, 2) Fund manager of Buyout fund, 3) Capitalist at Venture Capital with cumulative experience of 25 years
Overseas experience: 1) Spent 2 years in Boston, MA, USA for Masters degree, 2) Spent 6 years in New York, NY, USA for investment banking.
