Students learn technology /production management value creation, industrial competitiveness, which are necessary for engineering students to understand. This class explores interactions between engineering and social science, focusing on how the management of technologies, manufacturing sites, and design affect global competitiveness and value creation. |

Intensive Course Classes will be held online on August 20th and 21st.
Prof. Fujimoto (Waseda Univ.) and Prof. Nobeoka (Osaka Univ.) will jointly teach this class.
Students learn value creation, organizational capabilities for manufacturing, architecture, organizational management for innovation, design, and so on. |

Specific preparation is not necessary. It is better to read some portion in the text and preference books. It is important to become interested in how organizational capabilities regarding technologies, design, and manufacturing site lead to competitiveness of firms and industries, from perspectives of the interactions between engineering and management/economics. |
