Class Objectives /Class Outline |
Ecosystem management, including conservation, is critical for sustainable development of human society. In this lecture, students will learn fundamental theories on basic ecology (e.g. population, community and ecosystem ecology) and theories on conservation ecology, one type of applied ecology. Then, students will learn applications of these theories to ecosystem management in social-ecological systems and discuss their advantages and limitations. |
