Class Objectives
/Class Outline
In this lecture, numerical modeling techniques for environmental impacts assessment (air pollution, water pollution, water circulation in lake, and so on) and natural hazards (storm surge and waves, tsunami, and flooding) will be introduced. In class, students will learn the basin theoretical knowledge such as differential equations, boundary problem, finite different method, continuity and momentum equations for fluid, and practice numerical weather prediction. From this practice, students will learn basic principles for environmental impacts assessment and disaster mitigation.
